If you think you may need a prescription medicine for acute conditions, please make an appointment with the doctor. If you have previously been given a prescription for a straightforward condition, such as hay fever, we may be able to issue a prescription after a telephone consultation. Please ask thereceptionist. Your local pharmacist should be able to give you advice for non-prescription medicatiion.
Patients can order repeat prescriptions either by telephone or by calling at the reception. Always allow 48 hours for your repeat prescriptions to be ready for collection.
To order repeat medication by telephone, please ring our prescription line on 0191 2832058 between 2.00pm – 3.30pm.
You can order on-line – ww.riversidegp.sotw.nhs.uk (need to register). You can order by Fax on 0191 2832059.
You can call into the surgery or post your request. If you supply a stamped addressed envelope, we will either post the prescription to you or, alternatively, to the chemist of your choice. Please allow 48 hours before collection.
